About Ixaris

Ixaris Systems, Ltd. began operations in 2002 after our founders saw the need for an electronic payment solution any consumer could use, regardless of location or creditworthiness. In 2003, we developed EntroPay, a virtual Visa card used for online purchases wherever Visa is accepted. EntroPay was Europe's first and most successful virtual Visa product.

Historical Timeline

• 2002: Ixaris is founded to bring "secure Internet transaction technology" to market based on research by Alex Mifsud.
• 2003: Ixaris applies its unique technology to prepaid payments, launching Visa Europe's first virtual Visa programme.
• 2005: Ixaris continues to sell financial technology development along with its fledgling payments business. The success of its EntroPay service, however, prompts leaders to focus solely on the Internet-based payments service.
• 2006: Ixaris raises equity finance from Foresight to grow its payment business.
• Today: Ixaris enjoys a powerful mix of Internet technology and payments expertise that has made possible its unique service offering under the EntroPay and Opn brands.
