LONDON (03 January 2012) - Ixaris, an innovator in global electronic payments, today announced that it has been selected by leading fintech conference, FinovateEurope, to demonstrate the latest in its payments software at the event in February 2012.
Following its debut at FinovateEurope last year, Ixaris will return to the conference to demo and launch a brand new prepaid payment solution. The new solution, which is designed for enterprise merchants and financial services providers that require customised solutions based on prepaid payment programs, is currently under wraps and will be unveiled at the show.
It will be the latest in a line of payment innovations for Ixaris' award-winning open payment platform, Opn, one of the most comprehensive and technologically advanced open payment platforms currently available for the exchange of global payments.
Alex Mifsud, CEO of Ixaris, said: "We are delighted to be part of FinovateEurope, once again showcasing our technology alongside other cutting-edge financial and banking technology innovations. Our latest solution is our most powerful yet and I am excited about its potential to shake up the prepaid card market in 2012."
Ixaris raised seed finance from Oxford Technology VCT and angel investors in 2002 and 2003 to launch Europe’s first virtual prepaid card program under the Visa card scheme. Since then, Ixaris has built the most successful virtual card program in Europe and extended its capability to offer physical cards as well as global bank transfers.
Ixaris' world-class technology has issued millions of virtual and plastic cards to customers from over 120 countries. In 2010, Ixaris handled over 2.2 million transactions totaling over $200 million in volume that generated $13.6 million in revenue, an 85% increase in revenue from 2009. Currently, the company has a total of 65 staff members at its headquarters in London, UK and in offices in Europe and the US.
