SYSTEMS ENGINEER

REF: TEC0808 - Full time position

We are looking for a trustworthy, enthusiastic individual in possession of a relevant University degree to join our dynamic IT team. The work involves the administration of server hardware, operating systems and the middleware running on top.

The right applicant will demonstrate the ability to deliver high quality work using a sound methodology.

Middleware: You will maintain a variety of middleware including file servers, third party software and custom shell scripts.

OS: You will maintain a number of Unix platforms, both locally and abroad, the majority of which are Solaris. Experience of advanced Solaris features such as Solaris containers, RBACs and zfs would be a distinct advantage.

Hardware: You will be responsible for maintaining server hardware, mainly Sun.

WEB DESIGNER/DEVELOPER

REF: WEB0608 - Full time position

Are you a creative web designer or developer with at least one year of commercial experience? We are looking for a versatile all-rounder to design and produce HTML emails and web pages for our marketing campaigns, liaising directly with our marketing team.

You will also have the opportunity to gain experience of developing Java Server Pages for a high profile dynamic web application.

You should have strong HTML and JavaScript skills, knowledge of web standards and cross-browser issues, as well as the ability to produce high impact visuals using Photoshop or similar software.

Any experience of PHP or Flash would be a distinct advantage.

JAVA ARCHITECTS / DEVELOPERS

REF: JAD0306 - Full time positions

You will have the skills and experience to engineer distributed transactional systems in Java / J2EE and knowledge of building secure web-based services.

Relevant Java / J2EE experience includes:

N-tier system architectures
Transactions / EJBs
EAI / Resource adapters
Highly-parallel, scaleable systems.

Some knowledge of C++, HTML, JavaScript plus Windows and Unix scripting and Ant, although not essential, would be an asset.

We may offer developer positions to promising fresh graduates and part-time internships to final year students who can offset their limited industrial experience by demonstrating sound knowledge of Java and elements of J2EE.

For the architect positions, relevant experience includes writing and interpreting specifications, defining module interfaces and APIs, selecting and adopting 3rd party technologies as part of a larger solution, and working with other architects on large projects. Project management experience, including the management of small teams of developers will also be considered an asset.
