Web Manager

As the Web Manager, you will be responsible for understanding and interpreting the company strategic goals into the site's content, appearance and user experience with a focus to attract and retain both businesses and consumers by maximising the benefits of SEO, user experience and flow, design, social media, blogging, incorporating videos, audios, and other elements.

You will take the lead role in maintenance and development of the site and will need to assist in planning, communicating and implementing and maintaining the company’s strategy online.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet with marketing and design teams to plan and develop site content, style and appearance
  • Define and deliver improvements in customer experience, site functionality, and site accuracy
  • Work with the Marketing Manager to maximize lead conversion through the website through the implementation of content strategies
  • Identify areas of content improvement on the websites and implement the appropriate fixes
  • Develop and implement SEO in line with tactical requirements
  • Implement and maintain social media tools (blogs, Twitter, etc)
  • Carry out quality assurance checks on content
  • Review website content, plugging gaps, checking for dead links, and refreshing and re-focusing web content
  • Define and report technical problems to IT support staff
  • Deal with legal issues, such as copyright and data protection
  • Continually evolve content, features, format and functionality to meet established business goals. Identify areas where new content is required
  • Analyze data and customer research to make recommendations and implement changes
  • React to changing customer behaviour quickly

Personality / Attitude:

  • Be able to produce without supervision and under strict deadlines
  • Be highly innovative and creative
  • Have a great eye for detail, particularly in regards to content
  • Be able to communicate (verbal/written) with senior management, 3rd parties and stakeholders to achieve clear understanding of goals and standards

Skills:

  • 3-5 years of significant relevant online marketing experience
  • Strong knowledge of web analytics
  • Commercial acumen and strong analytical skills
  • Ability to project manage and oversee development of website innovations
  • Good knowledge of HTML, Flash, CSS, SEO and XML
  • Excellent comprehension of social media and social media techniques
  • Extensive technical understanding of online: web, advertising, social networking/user generated copy and SEO in particular
  • Demonstrable experience of usability research and design
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements for digital communication: data protection and financial promotions in particular
  • Perfect written English
